SCHOOL
TYNWALD
PRIMARY
Tynwald school provides the Zimbabwe Schools Examinations Council Curriculum. The academic program is thorough and comprehensive in scope and unfolds incrementally as it crosses grade levels. Its fundamental goal is to educate students to be independent thinkers who leave Tynwald Primary School with the intellectual and emotional preparation needed to confidently and successfully pursue their educational and personal goals. A congenial, open relationship between faculty and students contributes to a learning environment that is comfortable and allows students to express themselves freely.

One of the school’s signature strengths is its ability to work with a wide variety of students. This diversity of learners enriches the school community, as students of varied talents recognize and accept each other’s strengths and weaknesses, and teachers broaden their repertoire of strengths to successfully reach all students.

Tynwald Primary school is fully accredited by the Conference of Heads of Independent Schools in Zimbabwe (CHISZ)

Key Values

1.Hard work!
Children need to embrace the idea of hard work in all their subjects, in clubs, in sport - Infact in any activity they are called upon to perform.  In this school hard work should be second nature to every child.

2.JOY!
One can only do well if they enjoy whatever they do.  Usually if one drives joy from what they do, success is likely to come their way.  Children need to enjoy class work, sport, each other’s company etc.

3.KNOWLEDGE
Every child in this school should be hungry for more and more knowledge.  There is always something to learn in any situation in and outside the classroom.

4.RESPECT
Respect is so critical in any situation - respect for oneself, respect for authority, respect for one another, and respect for other pupil’s property and of course respect for school property.  Out of respect comes focus and ultimately success.
